The outcome of a random experiment, ie. a subset of a sample that is assigned a certain probability. Also called a random event. Such an event has no deterministic regularity. This means that the observations from them do not necessarily lead to equal outcomes, but they have a certain degree of statistical regularity that can be observed through the statistical stability of the outcome frequencies.
